Cleaning all BIBS Bottle parts

Latex nipple: Must be washed and sterilised before each use. Pour boiling water over it and leave the nipple in the water for 5 minutes. Remove it with clean tongs and leave it to dry on a clean cloth.

Milk seal, lid, collar and bottle: Wash with warm water and soap, or in the dishwasher. Must dry completely before assembling the bottle.

Plastic parts and nipple are NOT microwave-safe.

Dishwasher: All parts can be washed in the dishwasher - except the nipple.

Freezer: All parts can be placed in the freezer - except the nipple.

Why is the nipple clear in the material on some pacifiers and matte in the material on others?
