How to Use Laundry Powder Detergent

Measure for your machine Use 1/2 tablespoon for high efficiency (HE) washers and 1 tablespoon for standard washers. The stainless steel scoop included measures 1 tablespoon.

Add powder directly to the washer drum Laundry Powder dissolves in water. For best results, place directly in the drum beneath clothes, not in the dispensing drawer.

Wash as normal Once dissolved, our Laundry Powder works just like liquid detergent. It’s safe for all fabrics and water temperatures.

Powdered detergent is lighter and more concentrated than liquid detergent. It also takes up less space in your home—our can is only 6 inches tall and 4.25 inches wide.

Non-Toxic Ingredients

Our non-toxic laundry detergent is MADE SAFE Certified, meaning it meets the strictest ingredient screening requirement in the industry. Our MADE SAFE certification literally means that a product has been Made With Safe Ingredients that are not known or suspected to harm human health, animals, aquatic life, or ecosystems.

This powder detergent is made from baking soda, washing soda, and vegetable soap. Scented varieties are made with organic essential oils, not synthetic fragrances.

Sodium Bicarbonate	Sodium bicarbonate, also known as baking soda, is an odor neutralizer.
Sodium Carbonate	Sodium carbonate, also known as washing soda or soda ash, is a pH adjuster. It raises the pH of the washing water, which results in more effective cleaning. For this reason, it's often referred to as a laundry 'booster'.
Sodium Cocoate	Sodium cocoate is the chemical name of organic coconut oil that is saponified, or 'made into soap’. It's the chemical that grabs onto both dirt and water to do the cleaning.
Cocos Nucifera Oil	Organic cocos nucifera, or organic coconut oil, is left in the soap after conversion to sodium cocoate. This is because we use sodium hydroxide, or lye, in the conversion process, and leaving excess oil ensures there is no remaining lye in the finished product. Our coconut soap has only a very small amount of excess oil, so it is designed to get tough jobs done without leaving oil behind on your clothes or in your washer.
Glycerin	Glycerin is chemically a type of alcohol and is naturally created when the oil is converted into soap. Glycerin is known for skin-softening abilities and is an effective solvent, meaning it can dissolve substances such as stains and dirt. We do not add any additional glycerin to our soap. 100% of the glycerin present is a byproduct of the soapmaking process, vegan, and cruelty-free.
Lavandula Hybrida Grosso Oil	Organic lavandula hybrida grosso, or organic lavender essential oil, is a scented oil derived from lavender flowers. It is a natural, plant-based alternative to synthetic fragrance blends and adds a fresh, floral scent to our laundry powder. Used in Lavender and Lemon-Lavender-Clove scents.
Citrus Medica Limonum Peel Oil	Organic citrus medica limonum peel oil, or organic lemon essential oil, is a scented oil derived from lemon fruit. It is a natural, plant-based alternative to synthetic fragrance blends and adds a zesty, citrus scent to our laundry powder. Used in Lemon and Lemon-Lavender-Clove scents.
Eugenia Caryophyllus Leaf Oil	Scent (lemon-lavender-clove only)Organic eugenia caryophyllus oil, or organic clove essential oil, is a scented oil derived from clove leaves. It is a natural, plant-based alternative to synthetic fragrance blends and adds a warm, spicy scent to our laundry powder. Used in Lemon-Lavender-Clove scent.
