Since the rubber from the Hevea Brasiliensis tree is softer than the silicone in mass-produced pacifiers, your baby will enjoy a gentler, more natural feel.

STARFISH TEETHER When the baby's first teeth erupt, the gums often lie delicately over the breaking tooth tip which can hurt and be uncomfortable for the child. To reduce discomfort, Natursutten’s teether toy is strong but flexible and comfortably soft for little gums to bite on. It massages the gums and helps teeth eruption.

Use and Care

• Always sterilize your Natursutten before using it the first time: 5 minutes in boiling water.
• Wash your Natursutten with warm water and mild soap between uses. (Never put it in the dishwasher.)
• The teether should be replaced every 6 to 8 weeks.
• Inspect your teether every day. If they turn sticky, or start peeling it is time to replace.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• When you first open the package, you may notice a “rubbery” smell —that’s perfectly natural.
• Each teether is unique and unlike silicone, our teether can display marks and lines in the rubber. Color may also vary by batch.
• The natural rubber will probably turn whitish after boiling it for 5 minutes—don’t worry, it’ll get back to its original color in a few days.
• The rubber will get darker over time. That’s natural. It’s time to replace it if the teether starts to feel sticky overall. Usually around 6 to 8 weeks

The Natursutten Story

Anne-Dorthe Schroeder started Natursutten (which means 'natural pacifier' in Danish) in 2006 when she couldn’t find a healthy option for her newborn son. “The media is full of stories about toxic baby gear, recalls, and harmful plastics. As a new mother, I thought about how many hours my son was going to have a pacifier in his mouth, and I was determined to find a truly safe alternative. I felt I owed it to my child and other babies around the world – to do better.”
